The objective of the HR Generalist is to support the Company on a highly collaborative team by providing guidance and resources on compensation and benefits, staffing, compliance, records, and Team Member relations.

General Requirements

  • Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred


  • Minimum Experience Requirement: 2+ years in comparable position


  • Ability to lift 25 lbs., bend, squat, and climb ladders or stairs several times a day

Job Duties

Assist HR team by performing the following duties as requested/assigned:


  • Manage and advise on pay structures, bonuses, and incentives.


  • Assist HR Benefits Specialist with benefit administration as needed.


  • Follow hiring processes to support staffing needs.


  • Follow onboarding processes to support new Team Members.


  • Support managers through the review process.


  • Support managers with crucial conversations and follow disciplinary process.


  • Follow termination procedure as needed.


  • Stay updated with labor laws and regulatory changes, advise the team on any recommended changes/actions.


  • Conduct Sexual Harassment training.


  • Receive and input Training Records into Training Database.


  • Maintain and audit personnel, personal, medical, and I-9 files.


  • Assist in updating Team Member Handbook as needed.


  • Create and maintain HR policies, procedures, and processes.


  • Be available for questions and concerns from Team Members.


  • Take pulse of Team Members, management, and departmental relations. Escalate issues with discretion up the chain of command.


  • Provide encouragement and guidance to Team Members and management.


  • Create and conduct manager training as necessary.


  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


  • Understand and demonstrate Wasco Core Values.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. 


  • Knowledge and understanding of HR best practices.


  • Be approachable and have excellent people and communication skills.


  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.

Compensation: $22-24/hr DOE
