In mid-January, 2020, Wasco began preparing for expected supply chain interruptions. Since that time, Wasco has implemented extra safety measures that include: non-manufacturing members working remotely, staggered shifts, additional hours, building up inventory, additional handwashing and sanitizing stations, etc. A significant amount of our manufacturing process occurs in an ISO 5 cleanroom, Wasco's team members gown up in cleanroom suits, and the products are cleaned before packaging.
The medical and semiconductor markets are ever-changing as it relates to cleanliness and sterilization. Wasco's manufacturing processes have always been tailored to meet those requirements.
As of April 21, 2020, Wasco will continue to serve our customers with the same level of commitment, quality, and timeliness.
Currently, Wasco is helping our customers increase their manufacturing capacity by 400% for systems used to sterilize N95 masks.
