The Quality Technician analyzes and solves quality problems, prepares inspection plans and instructions, selects sampling plan applications, prepares procedures, supervises and trains inspectors, analyzes quality costs and other quality data, and applies fundamental statistical methods for process control.

General Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience Requirement - 2 years experience in a full-time engineering or quality-related role.
Job Duties
Define quality concepts and quality processes.
Apply quality tools including continuous improvement techniques, problem solving, and lean concepts.
Interpret information and data.
Know which measurement and test equipment (M&TE) tools are appropriate for various applications and how to assess tool accuracy and precision.
Understand the concept of calibration standards hierarchy and traceability for M&TE.
Read and interpret blueprints (drawings), including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Understand and apply basic inspection concepts, techniques, and processes.
Understand sampling characteristics, types, and selecting samples from lots.
Identify and segregate nonconforming material and be familiar with the material review process.
Understand, apply, and communicate various quality audit types and their components, tools, and techniques.
Apply the elements of corrective action, such as root cause analysis (FMEA), and the control of nonconforming material.
Manage the NCR, RMA, Calibrated Equipment, and FAI processes.
Assist Quality Manager and Engineering Manager in investigating and reporting product quality issues that arise.
Supervise Quality Inspectors.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities
Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, internal auditing principles and techniques, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance.
Knowledge of inspection hand tools.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
Computer skills allowing for interaction with the ERP system and Microsoft Office applications.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation: $20-$23/hr
